Halloween Weekend at Number Nine Spa: Stay the Night, Then a Morning Bowl of Noodle Soup

It is late on a Saturday night in the centre of the Macau peninsula, and on the streets around the Royal Dragon Hotel a few small shops still have their lights on, with steam from their pots drifting out of the doorways. By the stage

The fashion-show stage is where choosing happens at Number Nine Spa. Therapists from several countries come out on the runway round after round, and the house way to choose is simply to tell the manager which series you would like. Plenty of guests are here for the first time, and at every point someone is there to tell you where to go next.

The room

The hour in the room is a massage, and you can ask your therapist for lighter or firmer pressure at any point. It finishes with a hot-towel clean, so there is no need to get up or tidy anything away.

The rest area

After the massage comes the rest area, where the recliners stand side by side. On a recliner you can choose add-on services from the list on the spot, a foot massage or a head massage, for example, with nothing to decide in advance. If you would like to stay overnight, there are two ways to sleep: right there on the recliner until it is light, or in a paid private rest room of your own.

Morning

The dining area joins the lobby bar and stays open all night. Under a slatted wood ceiling, marble tables stand in rows, with a warm strip of light running along the ceiling’s edge. After the night, there is a hot bowl of noodle soup to be had here before you leave, its steam rising slowly under the lights.

In the morning, the streets around the Royal Dragon Hotel look different. People on their way to work hurry along them, and in the little shops that were lit last night, the steam now rising from the pots is from the morning congee.

October 2026

As of October 2026, the health and recovery, signature, Bali-style, aromatic oil and Zen SPA courses at Number Nine Spa run from MOP 2,599 to 6,999, plus a 10% service charge, and the full breakdown is on the price list. For the price and availability of a paid private rest room, just ask us when you book, and the rest area and rest rooms are shown under suites and facilities. Number Nine Spa is a Macau sauna that is open 24 hours and lets you stay overnight. Therapists are on duty from 15:00 to 06:00.

Two benefits are only for bookings made through this site. The first is a free private car anywhere in Macau, with your return trip arranged in advance. The second is two free add-on services, chosen on the spot in the rest area.
